This study examines the freedom reflected in Aldous Huxley's work "Ada", which is a utopian thought, and the ideological instruments imposed for the continuation of this freedom. The questions are being studied as why this perception of freedom arises, what affects its outcome and what is to be achieved, and in the novel it is found that the ideological instruments created by the influence of various power mechanisms are causing freedom misleading. In the appearance of this misconception of freedom, it is also studied the effects of psychological problems in individuals. In this novel, the level of freedom increases fairly proportionally to the level of happiness of people. In other words, the way of freedom is opened by ensuring people to escape their fears and to address the factors that can make them happy. It is believed that ideological instruments are used to identify these factors. Religion is seen as an instrument used to bring society to the desired form by removing it from its own function. The existence and purposes of the mechanism that uses religion for its own interests are identified, the conclusions are made that it is necessary to gain power as a need for its own freedoms, and that it is necessary to keep society away from the facts by using various ideological instruments. It is also predicted that it can be fully understood if the facts exist with the slurry, and therefore it is clear that ideological mechanisms are used to suppress social subconsciousness. The society that is only directed to happiness by being removed from their fears is thus removed from its self and falls into the position of an practicer of the system created without consciousness. The individual who believes that the truth presented for all these reasons is his own sense of pleasure is connected to the ideological instruments that provide it and falls into the misleading of freedom.

This study examines freedom expressed in Aldous Huxley’s Work Island and the ideological methods imposed for the continuity of the freedom. The questions such as why the idea of freedom has appeared, what has influenced it and what the goal has been, are discussed and it is found out that the ideological instruments designed with the impact of the various power mechanisms in the novel, cause illusion of freedom. The effects of the psychological problems of the individuals over occurrence of the illusion of freedom are analyzed as well. In this novel, the level of freedom increases in accordance with the happiness of the people indirectly proportional way.  In other words, the way of freedom is opened by offering people to rescue from their fears and lean to the factors which may content them. It is seen that the ideological instruments are used in revealing these factors. Religion is gotten off its essence and is seen as an instrument used to put the society into the form desired. The existence and the goals of the authority using religion within their benefits are determined and also it is propounded that they need to gain the power for their own freedom and keep the community away from the realities by using various ideological instruments in order to reach their target.  Furthermore, it is predicted the phenomena may only be understood with their opposites, and in parallel with this it is seen that the ideological instruments are used to suppress the social sub-consciousness. The community leaned to just the happiness by getting distracted from their fears, get estranged from their own identity and end up in the position of becoming the practitioners of the system set up.  Due to all of these reasons, the individual thinking the presented reality as if it were his/her own pleasure, adheres to the ideological instruments providing this and falls into the illusion of freedom.
