The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of the hidden curriculum in the database course. The aim of this study is to reveal the physical environment, methods, learning-teaching interaction, student-student interaction, student-faculty interaction and evaluation program. The research is a single case study of a qualitative research methods. In the qualitative research, it was aimed to collect in-depth information from the data collection methods by using observation and interview method. The criterion sampling method was used from non-selective purposive sampling techniques. The research was carried out in two stages. In the first phase, in the spring semester of 20017-2018 academic year, the database course at the Computer Education and Instructional Technology Department of Çukurova University was observed for three weeks (9 hours). In the second stage of the study, the students of the same course were interviewed after the observations. The semi-structured observation form was developed by making some corrections according to the expert opinions. Interview questions were prepared for the interview forms based on the related literature and detailed the research problem and expert opinion was received for scope validity. Based on the feedback, the questions were rearranged and 11 questions were formed. Qualitative data collected through semi-structured observations and interviews were collected. Descriptive analysis was used in the analysis of observation data. Interview data were analyzed with content analysis. In the light of the findings obtained, the results of the database course show that the physical environment and regulations of the class, teaching-learning activities, teaching staff-student, student-student interaction and evaluation process affect the hidden curriculum.
