A field actor, who conducts scientific research and produces aca-demic texts based in the grounds of psychology of religion, is called a 'psychologist of religion'. In this article, an academic psy-chologist of religion, who made important contributions to scien-tific studies in the psychology of religion in Turkey, Habil Şentürk’s (a) academic life, (b) special interests, (c) academic stud-ies, (d) undergraduate and postgraduate courses (e) supervised graduate theses and (f) personal thoughts on Turkish psychology of religion studies are included. In conclusion of the article, it has been determined that; (i)-Şentürk completed his primary education at the age of 11; graduated from İzmir İmam-Hatip High School at the age of 22 and completed his secondary education; after graduating from İzmir Higher Islamic Institute at the age of 26, completed his higher education and taught in İzmir for a year; at the age of 27, started his academic career in İzmir Higher Islamic Institute as an academic member in the field of the psychology of religion; at the age of 35, received his "PhD" degree in psychology of religion from Dokuz Eylül University; "assistant professor" at the age of 44 and "associate professor" at the age of 56 as well as "professor" at the age of 61; finally, while working as a faculty member at Süleyman Demirel University in Faculty of Theology, he had to retire because of the age limit when he was 67. There-fore, he has been an academic member at the various universities for 43 years in total; (ii)-he has special interests such as (a) psy-chology of worship, (b) educational psychology, (c) personality and religion, (d) psychology of religious literature, (e) religious and spiritual counseling, (f) psychology of values (n=6); (iii)-he can be evaluated in the second term [1980-1999], which covers the pro-cess of understanding the original literature in which Şentürk's second generation psychologists of religion are included as the contextual position in the history of Turkish psychology of reli-gion; in addition to this, he mainly worked on theoretical content; (iv)-according to the product variety of the publications by Şentürk, whose works are at a considerable level (n = 42) in total, it is seen that he has mostly articles (n = 17); (v)-Şentürk, who gave lectures to both the undergraduate and the postgraduate (n = 10), gave most of his lectures to the postgraduate (n = 6), this re-spectively followed his lectures to the undergraduate (n = 3) and the doctorate (n = 1); (vi)-in Şentürk’s academic life, he supervised a great number of master theses (n = 20) and the doctoral thesis (n=1).
