Abstract:

Bu araştırma, öğretmenlerin serbest zamanlarda yaptıkları çeşitli etkinliklerin mesleki ve kişisel gelişimlerine katkılarını, aile ve sosyal yaşamlarına etkilerini belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden olgubilim deseni kullanılmıştır. Katılımcılar, amaçlı örnekleme yöntemlerinden ölçüt örnekleme ve maksimum çeşitlilik örnekleme tekniklerine göre belirlenmiştir. Veriler, yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu ile toplanmış, betimsel analiz yöntemiyle analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma sonunda, öğretmenlerin daha çok müzik ve spor ağırlıklı etkinliklerde bulundukları; serbest zaman etkinliklerinin mesleki gelişim alanında farklı öğretim yöntem ve teknikleri kullanma, motivasyon ve öğrencilerle iletişim ile ilgili katkılarının olduğu; kişisel gelişim alanında farklı bakış açısı geliştirme, mutluluk, özgüven ve sosyal iletişim becerilerine dönük katkılar sağladığı görülmüştür. Aile ve sosyal yaşam alanında ortak mutluluk, eğlenme ve çevre edinme gibi olumlu etkilerin yanısıra; ailenin ihmal edilmesi ve ekonomik yük gibi olumsuz etkilerin olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına dayalı olarak, uygulamaya ve gelecekteki araştırmalara yönelik önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

Abstract:

This research was carried out to determine the contribution of the various activities teachers in their leisure time to their professional and personal development, the impact on their family and social lives. The research method is used by the research methods. Participants have been determined by measurement sampling and maximum diversity sampling techniques from the target sampling methods. The data was collected through a semi-configured interview form, analyzed by the visual analysis method. The study found that teachers were more involved in music and sports-focused events; that their leisure activities contributed to the use of different teaching methods and techniques in the field of professional development, motivation and communication with students; that they contributed to the development of different perspectives, happiness, self-confidence and social communication skills in the field of personal development. In addition to the positive effects of common happiness, entertainment and environmental acquisition in the family and social life field, the conclusion was that there were negative effects such as the neglect of the family and the economic burden. Based on the results of the research, it has been given recommendations for the application and future research.

This research was conducted to determine the contributions of teachers' activities they do in their leisure time to their professional and personal development and their effects on their family and social lives. Phenomenology design, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the research. Participants were determined according to criterion sampling and maximum variation sampling techniques from purposive sampling methods. The data were collected with a semi-structural interview form and analyzed by the descriptive analysis method. At the end of the research, it was determined that the teachers mostly engage in activities focused on music and sports; leisure time activities contribute to the use of different teaching methods and techniques, motivation and communication with students in the field of professional development; it has been observed that it contributes to developing different perspectives in the field of personal development, happiness, self-confidence and social communication skills. In addition to positive effects in family and social life such as mutual happiness, fun and acquiring social circle; it was concluded that there were negative effects such as neglect of the family and economic burden. Based on the research results, suggestions are made for practice and further studies.
