Araştırmanın amacı, ilkokul 4. sınıf öğrencilerinin işbirliği kavramına yönelik geliştirdikleri metaforları incelemektir. Bu araştırma nitel araştırma yöntemi kullanılarak yapılmıştır. Araştırma 2017-2018 Eğitim-Öğretim Yılının 2. döneminde Ankara ili merkez ilçesinde yer alan bir ilkokulun 4. sınıf öğrencilerinden 157 öğrenci ile yürütülmüştür. Elde edilen verilerden 49 tanesi metaforun geliştirilememesi, gerekçenin belirtilmemiş olması ve okunaklı olmaması gibi nedenlerden dolayı elenmiştir. Geriye kalan 108 veri içerik analizi yöntemiyle çözümlenmiştir. Araştırmada 108 ilkokul 4. sınıf öğrencisi işbirliği kavramına yönelik 64 farklı metafor geliştirmiştir. Bu metaforlardan 13 kavramsal kategori oluşturulmuştur. Metaforların kavramsal kategorilere dağılımı incelendiğinde en çok metaforun değer olarak işbirliği, en az metaforun ise çözüm yolu olarak işbirliği ve doğa unsuru olarak işbirliği kavramsal kategorilerinde yer aldığı görülmektedir. Bu kavramsal kategoriler incelendiğinde, 13 kategoride de olumlu metaforlar bulunmaktadır. Bu çalışamada elde edilen kavramsal kategoriler sınıf öğretmenlerinin işbirliği kavramı ile ilgili öğrencilerin eksikliklerini belirleme ve bu konuda öğrencilerin dikkatini çekerek eksikliklerini giderecek etkinlikler hazırlamalarına yardımcı olabilir.
The purpose of the study is to study the metaphors developed by primary school students of 4th grade towards the concept of cooperation. This research has been done using the research method. The research was conducted in the 2nd period of the 2017-2018 Education-Teaching Year with 157 students from the 4th grade of a primary school located in the central district of Ankara. 49 of the data obtained were deleted for reasons such as the non-development of the metafor, the non-specified reason and the non-readable. The remaining 108 data were analyzed by the content analysis method. In the study, 108 primary school students of 4th grade developed 64 different metaphors for the concept of cooperation. There are 13 conceptual categories of these metaphors. When it is studied the distribution of metaphors into conceptual categories, it is seen that most of the metaphors are included in the conceptual categories of cooperation as a value, while at least the metaphors are included in cooperation as a solution and cooperation as a nature element. When we look at these conceptual categories, there are 13 positive metaphors in these categories. The conceptual categories obtained in this study can help class teachers identify the disadvantages of students related to the concept of cooperation and prepare activities to address their disadvantages by attracting the attention of students in this regard.
