Abstract:

Today, technology is also widely used in the field of education. Education Information Network (EBA) is one of the technological platforms used in the field of education. The reading skills are provided to students through the Turkish lesson with distance learning on this platform. Reading is a skill we gained in the time we started to school and we need to use it in every field of life. This skill acquired in the primary school period should be developed in such a way that it should not be limited to understanding that it is only reading to have a positive impact on the individual's life, it should be developed in such a way that it will be a more functional tool. In this study, the teacher’s opinions on reading skills in the Education Information Network (EBA) used in the process of distance learning have been tried to identify the level of reading skills. In the study, one of the quality research patterns was used. The research work group consists of 40 Turkish teachers working at the Ministry of National Education. In the study, a semi-configured conversation form was used. The data has been collected with the "Teacher Interview Form for Reading Skills in the EBA used in the distance learning process". In the analysis of data is used content analysis. According to the results obtained from the findings, the teachers’ opinions on reading skills in the EBA of distance learning are negative. Due to the lack of mutual interaction, factors such as technological insufficiency, teachers found the EBA disadvantaged in terms of reading skills. The teachers who participated in the research found useful comments that the efforts were good and successful. If technological insufficiency in reading skills in the EBA is resolved, mutual interaction is improved and the importance shown to reading activities increases, the teacher’s opinions may be positive.
