Abstract:

The aim of the study is to determine the relationship between school administrators' decision-making styles and time management skills. Relational survey model, one of the quantitative research methods, was used in the research. The universe of the research consists of school administrators working at various levels in public schools in the province of Bingöl in the 2021-2022 academic year. The sample of the study was determined by the disproportionate sampling method, which is one of the random sampling methods. 265 school administrators voluntarily participated in the study. As a result of the research, it was determined that the decision-making styles and time management skills of school administrators were at a moderate level. Considering the sub-dimensions of decision-making styles, school administrators use rational decision making, dependent decision making, intuitive decision making and spontaneous decision-making styles, respectively. School administrators exhibit low levels of avoidance behavior. In addition, different decision-making styles of school administrators significantly affect their time management skills. Decision-making styles explain 13.9% of the variance in time management skills.
