Abstract:

Purpose: Determination of the mandibulan with a headache, hard and moving bone is important from a medical and anthraopolic point of view because it is a bone that has a lot of differences between the pelvis and the bone after the gender. The aim of this study was to evaluate the symmetry of certain parameters on 3D (3B) reconstruction images and the differences between gender. In the study, 60 patients (30 women and 30 men) (mediate age = 50.6) received KIBT images. On the images were made measurements of the length of the condom (Kon-Gon), the coronoid length (Kor-Gon), the bigonial width (BiGon) and the width of the bikondis (BiKon). The measurements were repeated by the same observer between two weeks and the average values were used for statistical analysis. The difference between the right and left lengths of KonGon and KorGon was compared with the gender-related difference between the matched sampling t test and all parameters with the independent sampling t test. Results: The average values for all the parameters evaluated in the study were higher in men than in women (p≤0.05). For both the KonGon and KorGon measurements, there was no statistically significant difference between the right and left of the neck. Result: According to this study population, the evaluated parameters show a clear difference between gender and have been found that the use of those parameters in gender differentiation is beneficial.
