This study aims to determine the change in the amount of chlorophyll in some species of plants which are widely used in landscape studies in the center of Samsun province. Chlorophyll is known as a green color pigment that allows the occurrence of photosynthesis. The amount of chlorophyll in plants affects the rate of photosynthesis, and the amount in the plant varies depending on many factors, including the conditions of the growing place and the plant type. In the framework of the study, 5 wheels of measurements were made in 26 species of plants used in landscape studies in the city centre of Samsun. The results of the study were evaluated by the Varyans analysis and Duncan test and the standard deviations of the species were determined with the average, lowest and highest chlorophyll values. According to the variance analysis, there were significant differences in 99.9% confidence between the species, and the chlorophyll levels of the species studied were collected in 12 homogeneous groups according to the Duncan test results. The study found that the amount of chlorophyll in Robinia pseudoacacia is 11,04 cci and Yucca gloriosa is 144,82 cci, and that the average amount of chlorophyll in other species varies between these two values.
