Abstract:

Empathy is defined as affective understanding of another person’s feelings and feedback of your understand to him. That is feedback what you are understand that the adoption of another person’s point of view and an identification with role are understand of another’s emotions, state of life, and feelings, actions of another person. Empathy that is effected an individual’s development background has been emphasized as a communicative process. The aims of this research, was to evalvase the relation between empathy levels and school achievement, and to determine factors effected empathy in nurse student. The study groups N=34 was composed of nursing students in Istanbul University-Health College of Bakırkoy. This study was used school achievement record, socio-demographic test and empathy test. Empathy Ability Test- Form B constructed by Ü.Dökmen 1988 . Data were assessed using percentage, Student’s t-test, Pearson analysis, Varience Analysis. No statistically significant relationships were found between students of empathy levels in I., II., III. and IV. class p>0.05 . Empathy levels wasn’t significantly related to school achievement p>0.05 . Student that is love own job had higher school achievement than those isn’t love own job p
