This study has been carried out with the purpose of determining the relation of the images with the texts in 2nd grade Turkish course book. Research object of the study is 2nd grade Turkish course book Published by DokuYayınevi. In the study, one of qualitative research methods, document review was used and images of the target texts in the 2nd grade Turkish course book (16 texts, 36 images) were included in the study and illustrative elements such as photographs, etc. and images of free reading texts are excluded. “Image-Text Relation Category List” created after literature review is submitted for an expert opinion and a 10-item list was created in accordance with the feedback. Descriptive analysis technique was used for analysing the data. Images and texts evaluated within the scope of “Image-Text Relation Category List” were reported qualitatively and occasionally by making direct quotations from the Turkish course book.
