Abstract:

There are factors that affect people in business life positively and negatively. The positive elements lead employees to contribute to the organization by working harder than usual, while the negative elements lead to employees failing to do what they can normally do. One of the positive elements is motivation and encourages employees to work more. One of the negative elements and one of the most dangerous is stress. It is thought that stress has a negative impact on motivation and that measures should be taken for organizations. The purpose of this research; to determine the relationship between job stress and motivation and to show the effect of job stress on motivation. In this context, data were collected via a questionnaire on the personnel of Ankara Provincial Food, Agriculture and Livestock Directorate in Ankara. As a result of the research, it was found that there is a significant and inverse relationship between job stress and motivation.
