This study's purpose is to develop a distance learning scale in order to determine the teachers' attitudes, who study in public schools and private schools, attitudes about distance learning. The scale is consisted of 43 items by reviewing literature and interviewing with teachers and lectures. This scale's pilot study is conducted with 200 teachers that are chosen from 6 elementary schools in Balıkesir. According to pilot study's results, 43 items are reduced to 21 items that seven of them are negative. These items are collected in 6 factors. The result of the factor analysis which is performed to determine the structure validity of the scale, it is seen that, Kaiser Meyer Olkin (KMO) value is 0,814, the value of the inner consistency multiple (Cronbach Alpha) is α= 0,835 the findings about the studies for the validity and the confidence indicate that the scale has a valid and a confident structure.
