İLKOKUL VE ORTAOKUL İNGİLİZCE DERSLERİNDE KULLANILAN ŞARKILARIN MÜZİKSEL AÇIDAN DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ

Abstract:

Bu araştırmanın amacı, 2-8. sınıf İngilizce ders kitaplarında yer alan okul şarkılarının müziksel özelliklerini pedagojik açıdan değerlendirmektir. Çalışmada, nitel araştırma desenlerinden durum çalışması deseni kullanılmıştır. Bu amaçla Millî Eğitim Bakanlığı tarafından 2017–2018 eğitim-öğretim yılında ilkokul ve ortaokul İngilizce derslerinde kullanılması onaylanan 9 ders kitabında yer alan toplam 32 adet okul şarkısı incelenmiştir. Şarkılar doküman analizi yöntemi kapsamında araştırmacılar tarafından geliştirilen “Uzman Değerlendirme Formu” kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda konu ve içeriklerinin genel olarak pedagojik açıdan uygun olduğu, ancak şarkı seçimi yapılırken öğrencilerin ses sınırlarına dikkat edilmediği ve şarkıların genelinde prozodi hatalarının olduğu belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca şarkı seçimi yapılırken çocukların ses sınırlarının dikkate alınması gerektiği önerisi getirilmiştir.

Musical Evaluation Of Songs Used In English Lessons At Primary and Middle Schools

Abstract:

The aim of this research is to evaluate the musical characteristics of the school songs in the 2nd to 8th grade English textbooks. The qualitative case study design was used in this study. For this purpose, a total of 32 school songs in 9 textbooks approved by the Ministry of National Education for use in elementary and secondary school English lessons in the 2017-2018 academic year were examined. The songs were analyzed using the "Expert Evaluation Form" developed by the researchers within the scope of the document analysis method. As a result of the research, it was determined that generally the topics and contents were pedagogically appropriate, but the sound limits of the students were not considered appropriately while choosing the songs and there were prosody errors in the songs. In addition, it is suggested that the sound limits of the children should be taken into consideration while choosing the songs.
