Bu araştırmada ortaokul öğrencilerinin fiziksel aktiviteye katılım motivasyonu düzeylerinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmaya Bitlis Toki Ortaokulu’unda 5., 6., 7.,ve 8. sınıfta eğitimine devam eden 110’u kadın, 104’ü erkek olmak üzere toplam 214 öğrenci gönüllü olarak katılmıştır. Araştırmada Kişisel Bilgi Formu ile Demir ve Cicioğlu (2018) tarafından geliştirilen Fiziksel Aktiviteye Katılım Motivasyonu Ölçeği (FAKMÖ) kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde, frekans, aritmetik ortalama, standart sapma t-test ile pearson korelasyon testi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada elde edilen bulgular ışığında, yaş değişkeni ile fiziksel aktiviteye katılım motivasyonu arasında Çevresel Nedenler alt boyutu arasında pozitif yönde düşük düzeyde anlamlı farklılık saptanmıştır. Cinsiyete göre erkek öğrencilerin kadın öğrencilerden Bireysel Nedenler puanlarının anlamlı düzeyde yüksek olduğu görülmüştür. Araştırmanın sonucunda ortaokul öğrencilerinin yaşı arttıkça fiziksel aktiviteye katılım motivasyonunun arttığı, erkeklerin kadınlara kıyasla bireysel nedenler puanlarının anlamlı düzeyde yüksek olduğu saptanmıştır.
This study aims to study the levels of motivation for high school students to participate in physical activity. The study included a total of 214 volunteer students, including 110 women and 104 men, who continued their education in the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th classes at Bitlis Tokyo High School. In the study, the Personal Information Form and the Physical Activity Participation Motivation Scale (FAKMÖ) developed by Iron and Cicioğlu (2018) were used. In the analysis of the data, the frequency, the arithmetic average, the standard deviation; the pearson correlation test with the t-test was used. In light of the findings obtained in the study, a significant difference between age variation and motivation to participate in physical activity has been found in a low level of positive direction between the environmental causes. According to gender, men’s students from women’s students’ Individual Causes scores have been shown to be significantly high. The study found that the motivation to participate in physical activity increased with the age of high school students, and that men’s individual causes scores were significantly higher compared to women.
