Abstract:

School managers are the stakeholders responsible for achieving the objectives of educational activities. The organizational climate perception of their schools is important for managers to perform their educational and administrative responsibilities in a healthy way. The positive climate perceptions of the managers towards their schools will contribute to the education system’s achievement of successful results. The purpose of the research is to identify the perceptions of school managers about the organizational climate. The results of the study are important because the managers will also provide information in terms of climate perceptions in their schools. The research is designed according to the research method. The research study group consists of 41 school managers from different schools and branches, who graduate in educational management at the Fırat University Institute of Educational Sciences in the spring period 2018-2019. A form of conversation is used as a method of data collection. The research was conducted by the “content analysis”. The answers given in each interview form are tabled to create categories (themes) under common codes. The research findings are that managers have evaluated the organizational climate in their schools in a "positive" direction and that the school management is effective in the formation of this positive climate.
