Abstract:

Medicines are of primary importance in the treatment of diseases. In order to protect and improve public health, people's health needs to be kept under control. Learning the level of knowledge of our youth, who are our future, in this regard will be a guide in directing them. This study was carried out to measure the attitudes of students studying at Gümüşhane University Şiran Health Services Vocational School towards drug use. It is a descriptive exercise and constitutes 284 students of the universe. Weighted average were used in the analysis of the data. As a result of the research, it was determined that although the sample seems more conscious according to the results obtained in similar studies conducted before, there is not yet a complete knowledge about drug use. In addition, it was determined that there was a relationship between the participants 'reading the drug package insert and their parents' educational status, place of life, place of stay at the university and the presence of a healthcare professional in their families.
