Abstract:

Ali Ekrem Bolayır is an important figure in political, social and literary life. He was known as “Namık Kemal Beyzade” during his life. Between 1888 and 1905 he was “Kâtib-i Hazret-i Şehriyârî”. Between 1896 and 1901, he was “A(yın) Nadir” as a poet and author of "Servet-i Fünun" literature. Although he was wellknown as poet, he was more successful on the prose . He especially followed the style of A. Mithat on his stories and aimed to educate to public. For this reason, many elements related with social life can be seen on his stories published in various newspapers and magazines. Particularly, family has the most important place in these elements. In this presentation, by going through from his stories, his views to the family authority will be analyzed. By relating to his personal life, the reasons of his insistence on the family authority will be analyzed
