Bu çalışmada Borsa İstanbul’da işlem gören Metal Ana sanayi firmalarının finansal açıdan hesaplanmış marka değeri ile hissedar değeri arasında bir bağlantı olup olmadığı analiz edilmiştir. Marka değeri ve hissedar değerini birlikte ölçen çalışmaların sınırlı sayıda olması sebebiyle çalışmanın literatüre katkı sağlaması beklenmektedir. Çalışmada firmaların marka değerleri Hirose Yöntemi’ne göre hesaplanarak Ekonomik Katma Değer (EVA) temelli Hissedar Değerleri ile karşılaştırılmıştır. Çalışmanın bulguları marka değeri yüksek olan firmaların hissedarlarına sağladığı katma değerin de yüksek olduğunu göstermektedir. Diğer taraftan, yüksek marka değerine sahip bazı firmalar hissedar değeri yaratmazken, bir firmanın da nispeten düşük marka değeri ile oldukça yüksek hissedar değeri yaratmış olması, yatırılan sermaye getirisinin sermaye maliyetinin üzerinde olmasının önemini açıkça ortaya koymuştur.
this study was analyzed whether there is a connection between the financially calculated brand value of metal main industry firms traded in istanbul and the shareholder value of the brand value and the value of the shareholders is expected to contribute to the literature of the work due to the limited number of studies measured together with the value of the firms in the study, calculated according to the brand values hirose method, and the findings of work compared with economic value-based shareholder values show that the brand value is high, and some companies with high brand value from the other side create value, while creating a relatively capital value of the company
This study analyzes the relation between the shareholder values and financially calculated brand values of the firms listed on BIST Basic Metal Index. Since the number of research which measure and evaluate brand value and shareholder value simultaneously is limited, the study is expected to contribute to the literature. Brand values of firms are calculated by Hirose Method and compared with EVA (Economic Value Added) based shareholder values. The findings of the study indicates that firms with high brand values also seem to create high shareholder values. On the other hand the existence of a firm creating a high shareholder value with a relatively low brand value strengthens the importence of a high ROIC with respect to the cost of capital.
