Abstract:

Growing and increasing environmental problems for the last 200 years have become the focal point of humanity. In building production, certification systems have been established in order to reduce the environmental effects they create. In this study, comparisons were made between 5 office structures that received the LEED certificate, which is one of these certification systems. While making these comparisons, it is aimed to determine which criteria are most fulfilled and which criteria are missing while obtaining LEED certificate in buildings. In the comparative data analysis study, percentage data were obtained by generalizing the scores obtained in the criteria among the selected office structures. According to the data obtained, the categories with the lowest score percentages among the certificate categories were "Material and Resource" and "Indoor Environmental Quality". The category with the highest score percentage is the “Water Efficiency” category. It has been concluded that these deficiencies are largely due to the material and construction sector not having a innovative perspective. It is thought that the study will be determine the missing points of the green building certification systems in our country and will be useful for the studies to be done in order to eliminate these deficiencies.
