17. yüzyıl saz şâiri âşık Ömer’in doğum yeri hakkında bilim adamlarının farklıgörüşleri ele alınarak şâirin gerçek doğum yerinin Konya’nın Hadim ilçesine bağlıGezlevi (yeni adı Korualan) olduğu belgelenmeğe çalışılmıştır. Ayrıca şâirin Divanınınnüshaları tanıtılmış ve Özbekistan’ın başkenti Taşkent’te Rıza Fazıl’ın yayınladığı “ÂşıkÖmer” adlı çalışma ile Sadettin Nüzhet Ergun’un “Âşık Ömer” adlı eseri karşılaştırılmış ve bir Cönk’te yer alan 27 şiiri bilim dünyasına kazandırılmıştır.
