VINCENT VAN GOGH’UN PATATES YİYENLER ADLI TABLOSUNUN ONTOLOJİK ÇÖZÜMLEMESİ

Abstract:

Sanat ontolojisi, ontolojinin bir dalı olarak sanat eserlerinin nasıl ve ne çeşit bir varlık olduğu konularıyla ilgilenmektedir. Yapılan araştırmada Vincent Van Gogh’un “Patates Yiyenler” adlı tablosu Nicolai Hartmann’ın sanat ontolojisi içerisinde ortaya koyduğu tabakalar teorisine göre çözümlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Van Gogh, sanat tarihinin gerek eserleriyle, gerekse hayatıyla en ünlü isimlerinden biridir. Sanatçının ilk dönem eserlerinden olan ve ilk başyapıtı olarak tanımlanan tablo sanatçının tanık olduğu ve çokça etkilendiği köylü ve işçi insanların yaşamını yalın ama bir o kadar da çarpıcı bir şekilde yansıtmaktadır. Ayrıca yaşadığı çağın ressamlarından farklı olarak toplumsal gerçeklik olgusunu eserinde özgün bir üslup ile resmetmiştir. Sanatçı kendi dönemi içerisinde olumsuz eleştirilerle karşılaşmış ancak onun asıl gerçeklik arayışı ölümünden sonra anlaşılabilmiştir. Sonuç olarak Van Gogh’un “Patates Yiyenler” tablosu ikonik bir güce sahip olmasının yanında gerek ön yapısında barındırmış olduğu farklı teknik ve üslup ile gerekse arka yapısında barındırdığı insana dair anlamlar ile sanat tarihine adını yazdırmış başat bir eserdir.

Abstract:

Art ontology is concerned with the subjects of how and what kind of art works are an existence as a branch of ontology. In the study, Vincent Van Gogh’s painting “The Eaters of Potatoes” was attempted to be resolved according to the theory of layers that Nicolai Hartmann presented in the art ontology. Van Gogh is one of the most famous names in the history of art with his work and life. The painting, which is one of the artist’s first-ever works and defined as the first masterpiece, reflects the life of the peasant and workers, whom the artist is witnessed and very influenced, in a simple but so impressive way. He also painted, unlike the painters of his age, the fact of social reality with an original style in his work. The artist has encountered negative criticism during his time, but his real reality search was understood after his death. As a result, Van Gogh's painting "Patates Eaters" has an iconic power in addition to the different techniques and styles he has hosted in his front structure and the meaning of the person he has hosted in his background structure is a great work that has printed his name to the art history.

In the research, Vincent Van Gogh's painting named "Potato Eaters" was tried to be analyzed according to the theory of the layers put forward by Nicolai Hartmann in the ontology of art. Van Gogh is one of the most famous names in art history with both his works and his life. The painting, which is one of the artist's first works and defined as the first masterpiece, reflects the lives of villagers and workers that the artist witnessed and influenced very much, but also in a striking way. Also, unlike the painters of his age, he painted the phenomenon of social reality with an original style in his work. The artist faced negative criticism during his period, but his pursuit of reality was understood after his death. As a result, Van Gogh's "Potato Eaters" painting is an dominant work that has made its name in the history of art with its iconic power as well as the different techniques and style it has in its front structure, and the meanings of the people it contains in its back structure.
