There may be a relationship between hCG and plasma fibronectin in preeclampsia

Abstract:

Giriş This preliminary study seeks to determine if there is a relationship between the plasma levels of hCG, which is increased in preeclampsia, and plasma fibronectin , which reflects the severity of endothelial damage. Study Design In blood samples ,which were obtained from preeclamptics (n=23)with different severity, hCG was measured by RIA and fibronectin with immunodiffusion. Statistical differences were evaluated by regression analysis and Mann-Whitney U-two test sample test. Bulgular There is a positive correlation between plasma fibronectin and hCG. High plasma level of fibronectin is commonly associated with hCG in preeclamptic patients. Sonuç There may be a relationship between hCG and plasma fibronectin in preeclampsia. Further evaluation is needed.
