Tarih boyunca insanlık çeşitli salgınlara maruz kalmıştır. Aralık 2019’da Çin’in Vuhan şehrinde tespit edilen ve hızla yayılan Koronavirüs (Covid-19) salgını tüm dünyayı derinden etkilemiştir. Koronavirüs salgını Türkiye’de de 10 Mart 2020 tarihinden itibaren görülmeye başlamış ve alınan önlemler sayesinde salgının yurt içinde yayılma hızı önemli ölçüde yavaşlatılmıştır. Salgının çeşitli etkileri olmakla birlikte bu çalışmada söz konusu etkiler genel olarak üç başlıkta toplanmıştır. Bunlardan birincisi insan güvenliği ya da insan sağlığı ile ilgili olanıdır. Salgın nedeniyle dünyada çok sayıda insan virüse yakalanmış ve bir kısmı hayatını kaybetmiştir. 3 Haziran 2020 tarihi itibarıyla hayatını kaybedenlerin sayısı 378.000’in üzerinde olmuştur. İkinci etki salgının yol açtığı toplumsal etki ile ilgilidir. Karantina döneminde virüs tehdidi nedeniyle insanların evde kapalı kalmaları, maske takmaları ve sosyalleşememeleri, özellikle 65 yaş üstü olanlar için psikolojik sorunlar yaratmıştır. Üçüncüsü ise virüsün ekonomik etkileri ile ilgilidir. Salgın nedeniyle ortaya çıkan ekonomik krizde küresel ölçekte ekonomik tedarik zincirleri kırılmış, ülkelerin ekonomileri daralmaya gitmiş, birçok firma iflas etmiş ve insanlar işsiz kalmıştır. Koronavirüs salgını ile birlikte küreselleşme de sorgulanmaya başlamış ve küresel bir sorun karşısında harekete geçmesi gereken uluslararası örgütlerin yetersiz kaldıkları görülmüştür. Bunun neticesinde devletler kendi başlarına uluslararsı bir soruna karşı ulusal çözümler aramaya başlamışlardır. Devletler, kapasiteleri nispetinde salgına karşı benzeri görülmemiş tedbirler alarak mücadele etmektedirler. Bu çalışma koranavirüs salgınının dünyada ne gibi olası etkilerinin olabileceği değerlendirilecektir. Çalışmada ayrıca virüsün Türkiye’ye olan etkilerine de yer verilecektir.
Over the course of history, humanity has been exposed to various epidemics. The coronavirus (Covid-19) epidemic, which was detected and rapidly spread in the Chinese city of Vuhan in December 2019, has profoundly affected the entire world. The coronavirus epidemic has also begun to be seen in Turkey since March 10, 2020 and thanks to the measures taken, the spread rate in the country has been significantly slowed. Despite the various effects of the inflammation, the effects in this study are generally gathered in three titles. The first of these is about human safety or human health. Many people in the world have been infected with the virus and some have lost their lives. As of June 3, 2020, the number of deaths has exceeded 378,000. The second effect is related to the social impact that the epidemic leads. During the quarantine period, because of the virus threat, people remained locked at home, wearing masks and unable to socialize, especially for those over the age of 65. The third is about the economic effects of the virus. In the economic crisis that was caused by the flood, global economic supply chains were broken, the economies of the countries were shrinking, many companies were bankrupt, and people were unemployed. With the coronavirus epidemic, globalization has also begun to be questioned, and international organizations that have to take action against a global problem have become insufficient. As a result, the states have begun to seek national solutions to an international problem by themselves. States are fighting by taking unprecedented measures against the epidemic in their capacity. This study will evaluate the possible effects of the coranavirus epidemic in the world. The study will also include the effects of the virus on Turkey.

Coronavirus outbreak first appeared in Turkey, on March 10, 2020. Thanks to the measures taken, the pandemic spread rate has slowed down considerably. Although the outbreak has various effects, in this study these effects are generally classified under three headings. The first one is about human security or human health. Due to the epidemic, a large number of people have caught the virus and some died. As of June 3, 2020, the number of people who died was over 378,000. The second effect is about the social effects caused by the outbreak. In the lockdown period, people’s being closed at home, wearing masks and not being able to socialize due to the threat of viruse created psychological problems especially for those over 65 years old. The third concerns the economic effects of the virus. Due to the economic crisis that emerged during the epidemic, economic supply chains were broken on a global scale, the economy of the countries shrank, many companies went bankrupt and people became unemployed. With the coronavirus epidemic, globalization has also started to be questioned and it has been observed that international organizations that need to act against a global problem are inadequate. As a result, states have started to search for national solutions to the international problem on their own. States are fighting against the epidemic in their capacities by taking unprecedented measures. This study will evaluate the possible effects of the choranavirus epidemic in the world. In this study it will be discussed at the effects of the virus to Turkey as well.
