Bu çalışmanın amacı, eski çağlardan beri var olan ve günümüzde varlığını devam ettiren uğursuzluğun psiko-sosyal sebeplerini belirlemeye çalışıp durum tespiti yaptıktan sonra Kur’an’ın uğursuzluğa yaklaşımını sünnetten de destek alarak ortaya koymaya çalışmaktır. Bu bağlamda çalışmada uğursuzluğun tanımı, uğursuzluğun psiko-sosyal sebepleri, çeşitli din ve toplumlarda uğursuz sayma örnekleri, Kur’an’da uğursuzluğun anlam alanına giren kelimeler ve Kur’an’ın uğursuzluğa yaklaşımı üzerinde durulmuştur. Ayrıca bazı meal ve tefsirlerde “nahs, husûm ve meş’eme” kelimelerine uğursuzluk anlamı verilmesine eleştirel olarak yaklaşılmıştır. Sonuç olarak Kur’an’da uğursuzluk anlamına gelen “tetayyür” kelimesinin odak kelime olduğu, uğursuz saymanın geçmişinin Kur’an’a göre Hz. Salih dönemine, yazılı kaynaklara göre ise eski Mezopotamya’ya dayandığı ve çeşitli toplum ve dinlerin kültüründe -ilahî dinler bunu yasaklasa da- bir şekilde varlığını devam ettirdiği ortaya çıkmıştır. Ayrıca Kur’an’da uğursuzluk olgusundan negatif olarak bahsedildiği, uğursuzluğun insanların hayatında psiko-sosyal yönden olumsuz etkileri olduğu ortaya çıkmıştır. Mekkî sûrelerde bu konunun olumsuzluğuna dikkat çekilmesi de uğursuzluğun insanların inanç hayatından çıkarılması gerektiğini göstermektedir. Bazı meal ve tefsirlerde “nahs, husûm ve meş’eme” kelimelerine uğursuzluk anlamı verildiği tespit edilmiştir. Ancak bu durum insanlar tarafından bazı günlerin uğursuz, bazı günlerin uğurlu gibi algılamasına sebep olacağından “nahs” kelimesine “şiddetli azap günleri”, “husûm” kelimesine Âd kavminin “kökünün kazınması için sürekli” esen fırtına ve “meş’eme” kelimesine “bedbaht olanlar” anlamının verilmesi daha uygun gözükmektedir.
The purpose of this study is to try to identify the psycho-social causes of misfortune that has existed since ancient times and continues to exist today, and to try to reveal the approach of the Qur’an to misfortune after it has been identified. The definition of misfortune in this context, the psychosocial causes of misfortune, the examples of misfortune in various religions and societies, the words that enter the meaning of misfortune in the Qur'an and the approach of the Qur'an to misfortune. In some meals and interpretations, the words "nahs, husûm and meş'eme" are also critically approached to giving the meaning of misfortune. As a result, the word "tetayyur" in the Qur'an means misfortune is the focus word, the past of misfortune is according to the Qur'an. It has been revealed that it was based on the ancient Mesopotamia, according to written sources, and that it continued its existence in a way in the culture of various societies and religions—even if the religions prohibited it. It is also revealed that in the Qur’an the fact of misfortune is mentioned negatively, misfortune has a psycho-social negative impact on people’s lives. The attention to the negative of this subject in the Mekkish Sures also indicates that misfortune should be removed from the life of people. In some meals and interpretations, the words "nahs, husûm and meş'eme" have been found to mean misfortune. But it seems more appropriate to the word "nahs" to the word "heavy days of punishment", the word "husum" to the word "the tempest" of the people of Ad to "continuously to harvest the root" and the word "mash'eme" to the word "the ones who are bad".
