Abstract:

This article suggests that the sharp discrepancy between Plato and the Sophist's concepts of information episthetics arises from the technical concepts of Tekhné due to their different approaches. This article also aims to open a sphere of theological discussion in this context, by referring to Ebheri’s Isagoci glory, and to observe the various logical mutations caused by the pathos of human emotions that make this discrepancy possible. The techniques used by the sophistics to express the truth are applied to a rhetorical persuasion. This technique, according to Platon, is achieved by influencing people’s souls. Therefore, sophistic provisions cannot be understood as true statements that for Platon are intended to be "compatible with the real nature of things" but are only criticized by the fact that it is an agreed truth doxa and the activity of carrying out the task of disconnection between the emotions of the people. Therefore, sophistic rhetoric is faced with a Platon's corruption in terms of logic and truth. The article, in addition, aims to remind Cyrenaic Ekol’s perception of the emotional pathos and the philosophical attitude against the truth determined in the absence of will as common to Platon’s perception of the emotions. Finally, referring to Derrida’s comments on the Phaedrus dialogue, it will also emphasize Platon’s critical attitude against the misleading of technical knowledge, the emotional truth and the negative effects of technical knowledge.
