Abstract:

The “multiplification” of traditional Turkish music has been a topic that has kept its importance from the past to the present day. When the post-Republican music policies are taken into account, the idea that the multiplication of our traditional music is sometimes criticized and sometimes absolutely a necessity is supported. Today, the academic studies on this subject have increased significantly in recent years. Nowadays, various composers defend that minority has damaged the traditional structure, while some composers defend that music has contributed to our mountains and continues to edit and compose many Turkish music works. In this study, 7 composers who organize multiple Turkish music works or compose works in multiple structures have been interviewed, with the aim of revealing the composer's views on the multiplication of Turkish music. For this purpose, the data was collected by applying to the composers the "Semi-Structured Interview Form" prepared by the researcher. In the study in the quality and imaginary structure, five separate questions were addressed to the composers in the subject particular, the obtained data was presented and interpreted in tables.
