Abstract:

As the conflict in Syria has turned into a civil war since 2011, the mass migration movement from Syria to Turkey has continued uninterruptedly. Syrian migrants are ranked first among the reasons for asylum to Turkey for the ease of transportation and the hope of transition to their European countries. Syrian immigrants arriving in Turkey first stayed only in border areas and camps. But with the extension of the domestic war, the number of camps and the lack of aid, they were dispersed out of the camps into the various cities of Turkey. Nearly 90% of the Syrian migrants live outside the camps. The number of people living outside the camps is reduced each year compared to the first years. In the first few years, the Turkish community showed hospitality to the Syrian immigrants. But this situation has been reduced every year, with the fear that they will not return. The number of young people in Turkey is considerably high. In Turkey, the young people who formed the population and were born in literature in 1995 and later are called the Z Generation. The view of the Z Generation on social events differs according to the generations that came before it. They are peace-private and far from ethnosentrism, but also very sensitive to social events. Therefore, the social acceptance of the Z-Generation against Syrian migrants arriving in Turkey is also of importance. In this study, the aim is to study the social acceptance arising with the settlement of the Syrians in our country from the perspective of Generation Z. The survey was conducted with the 312 Z Generation studying at the Faculty of Economics at the university selected and the data obtained were analyzed. According to the results of the research, the analysis of the findings of the Z-Generation is believed that they do not accept the settlement of Syrian migrants in Turkey and will create a risk factor for them, especially in the work life.
