Abstract:

Anatolian lands have been inhabited since the earliest periods of history and have witnessed many important events in terms of world history and are one of the first settlements. The region has been preferred by many tribes since the past thanks to its rich water resources and mild climate. The Hittites, on the other hand, came to Anatolia in BC. They came in the 2nd millennium BC. In this period, Anatolian lands were not under the sovereignty of any people and an authority vacuum prevailed. The Hittites, on the other hand, by taking advantage of this authority gap on the Anatolian lands, got stronger over time and acquired a deep-rooted culture. This deep-rooted culture was adopted by people who lived in the Anatolian geography at that time, survived for a long time and reached the present day by being passed down from generation to generation. The aim of this study is to try to find the projections of the social, cultural and religious life styles of the Hittites, which have existed for a long time, in Anatolia today. In addition, although there is no surviving from the Hittites, there are some similarities between the Hittite culture and today's Anatolian culture. These similarities and the customs and traditions from the Hittites are the content of the study.
