Abstract:

Bu çalışmada liderlerin karizmatik davranışlarının çalışanların iş performansı üzerine etkisinde çalışanların işe tutulma tutumlarının aracılık rolü incelenmiştir. Kamu ve özel sektörde çalışan 356 katılımcıdan elde edilen verilere geleneksel ve modern yöntemlerle aracılık testleri uygulanmıştır. Yapılan analizler neticesinde her iki yöntemde de liderlerin karizmatik davranışlarının çalışanların iş performansı üzerine etkisinde çalışanların işe tutulma düzeylerinin kısmi bir aracılık etkisi olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bu bulgulara göre liderlerin karizmatik davranışlarının çalışanların iş performansını artırmak için önemli olduğu, ancak iş performansı üzerindeki etkinin bir kısmının çalışanların işe tutulma tutumlarının liderlerin karizmatik davranışlarıyla olumlu yönde geliştirilerek artırılabileceği değerlendirilmiştir.

Abstract:

This study examined the role of mediation of employment attitudes of employees in the impact of charismatic behaviors of leaders on the work performance of employees. The data obtained from 356 participants working in the public and private sector has been tested by traditional and modern methods. According to the analysis, both methods have found that the charismatic behavior of the leaders has a partial mediation effect on the employment levels of the employees in their work performance. These findings show that charismatic behaviors of leaders are important to improving the work performance of employees, but some of the impact on work performance can be enhanced by improving the employment attitudes of employees in a positive direction by charismatic behaviors of leaders.

In this study, the mediating role of job engagement attitudes of employees is examined on the interaction between leaders’ charismatic behaviors and job performance. Mediation analyzes with traditional and modern approaches were conducted to the data obtained from 356 participants working in the public and private sectors. Results of both used mediation analyzes showed that job engagement has a partial mediating role in the relationship of leaders’ charismatic behaviors and employees’ job performance. In the light of these findings it is evaluated that leaders’ charismatic behaviors are important to improve employees’ job performance. Along this line job performance can be partially increased by positively devoloping job engagement attitudes of employees through leaders’ charismatic behaviors.
