Abstract:

Today, human resources and managers need to adapt to change by following the innovations that occur in the field of science and technology. Institutions and organizations are expected to be in an open perspective of innovation in order for managers to connect qualified employees to themselves and to support innovation throughout the organization. In this context, the creation of innovative working environments in the organization is believed to contribute to success by strengthening the organizational commitment. With this thought, this study aims to reveal the relationship between the views and organizational commitments of teachers working in the public schools associated with the Ministry of Education (MEB) and the innovation management skills of the schools in which they work. For this purpose, data were collected through the survey form from 390 teachers working in the public schools. According to the analysis, the school’s innovation management qualifications have been evaluated at a medium level. The teachers’ commitment to the organization is on a continuous level of commitment. Innovation management skills and the relationship of organizational commitment; continuity commitment and project management, organizational culture and structure, innovation strategy and input management dimensions are at very low positive level. Innovation management skills have been shown to affect the underdimensions of organizational commitment.
