Abstract:

Introduction and Target: The objective is to evaluate the soft tissue changes that occur as a result of the blocking of bad habits such as finger absorption and tongue pushing that causes front-open closure with the help of three-dimensional photographs. Method and Requirements: 9 women with front open closure as a result of finger absorption and tongue stretching (ort. Age: 9.45 ± 1.33 years) and 6 men (ort. Age: 8.50 ± 0.71 years) the patient was included in the study. Treatment of patients (ort. Treatment time: 0.6±0.1 years) the upper chest is carried out with a fixed tongue paravany apparey attached to the permanent first molar teeth. 3dMD camera was taken in 3D photos taken immediately before the treatment (T0) and immediately after the aparey removal (T1) with face analysis and overjet and overbite measurements with digital shell. The 3dMD Vultus program has been used for 16 distance and 6 angle measurements on the photographs taken. Statistical assessments were made using Wilcoxon analysis and Pearson correlation analysis. Discoveries: Bad habits have been eliminated at the end of the treatment, an increase in overbite (ort. 3.23±1.81 mm) has been statistically meaningful (p<0.05). The lengths of the upper lips increased (p<0,005) and the lengths of the lower lips decreased. There has been a negative correlation between Overjet and TVL-Ls distance (r=-0,803; p<0,05) There has been a strong positive correlation between Overbite and TVL-Bs distance (r=0,756; p<0,01). According to the actual vertical leveling, the advance movement of SPog and SB points has been statistically meaningful (p<0,005). PROTECTION and RESULTS: The tongue paravan in the treatment of the front open closure seen as a result of finger absorption and tongue stretching; overbite, the lower neck soft tissue projection and positive changes in the lips.
