İnsanlar, tüm çağlarda hayatlarını sürdürebilmek için hayvanlardan yemek, taşıma, ulaşım, avcılık, korunma gibi pek çok alanda faydalanmışlardır. Bu sebeple hayvanların bakımı da bir ihtiyaç halini almış ve bu ihtiyaçtan da baytarlık ilmi doğmuştur. Bu alanda âlimler yetişmiş ve bu âlimler bilgilerini kalıcı hâle getirip gelecek nesillere aktarmak adına eserler kaleme almışlardır. Türk kültüründe de baytarlık ve baytarnâmeler ilgi görmüş, Türk âlimlerinin çalışmaları yanında farklı dillerden dilimize tercümeler yapılarak da bu alanda gelişmeye önem verilmiştir. Özellikle at hastalıkları ve bu hastalıkların tedavileri, baytarlık çalışmalarında önemli yer tutmuştur. Hayvanların hastalıklarının tedavilerinde kullanılan ilaçlar ve bu ilaçların hazırlık aşamasında da bitkiler ön plana çıkmıştır. Çalışmış olduğumuz “Tuhfetü’l-mülûk ve’s-selâtin” adlı eser de bir baytarnâmedir. Eser; Emir Hâcip Âşık Tîmur’un “?Umdetü’l-müluk” adlı eserinin, Sultan I. Ahmet’in (1603-1617) emriyle Türkçeye çevrilmiş hâlidir. Eserin mütercimi bilinmemektedir. Topkapı Sarayı Kütüphanesi Tıp ve Baytarlık eserlerindeki (1772-H.415) bu eserin araştırmalara göre başka bir nüshası tespit edilememiştir. Eser muhteva bakımında “Baytarnâme”, “Fürûsiyyet” ve “Avcılık” olmak üzere üç kısımda tertip edilmiştir. Bu kısımlar, çeşitli bâblar ile kendi içinde de sınıflandırılmış ve böylelikle ilgili başlıklar detaylandırılmıştır. Eseri diğer baytarnâmelerden farklı kılan yönü ise çeşitli minyatürlerle desteklenmiş olmasıdır. Çalıştığımız eserin içinde irili ufaklı 164 Osmanlı minyatürü ve müzehhep iki serlevha vardır. Eser bu bağlamda Osmanlı Dönemi’nde kullanılan minyatür sanatının ilmî eserlerdeki kullanımını örneklendirmekte ve ait olduğunu döneme ait minyatürlerin günümüze aktarılmasında önemli yer tutmaktadır.
In all ages, humans have taken advantage of animals in many areas, such as food, transport, transport, hunting, protection. Therefore, the care of the animals has become a need, and from this need the knowledge of the beast has been born. In this place they have grown up, and they have brought their knowledge to the forever, and they have brought them to the future generations. In the Turkish culture, also, the interest of the baytarism and the baytarism was seen, and the work of the Turkish peoples, along with the translations from different languages to our language, was also given attention to the development in this field. Specifically, horse diseases and the treatment of these diseases have played an important role in the work of pity. The medications used in the treatment of animal diseases and in the preparation phase of these medications, plants have come to the forefront. The name that we have made is “Tuhfetü’l-mülûk and’s-salatin”. The work of the Emir Hâcip Âşık Tîmur "?Umdetü'l-müluk" was translated into Turkish by the order of Sultan I. Ahmet (1603-1617). The masterpiece is unknown. Topkapı Palace Library in the works of Medicine and Baytarlık (1772-H.415) this work has not been found in any other niche according to research. Three of them are the “sacrifications” and the “sacrifications” and the “sacrifications”. These sections are classified in themselves with various rubles and thus related titles are detailed. The point that makes the work different from the other baytarnamas is that it has been supported by various miniatures. Within the work we work there are 164 small Ottoman miniatures and two museums. In this context, the work illustrates the use of the miniature art used in the Ottoman era in scientific works and has an important place in the transmission of the miniatures of the time that it belongs to today.
People have benefited in many areas such as food, transport, hunting, protection from animals to survive in all ages. Scientists trained in this branch ans these scientists have made their information permanent, they wrote Works to pass on to future generations. These studies have attiracted attention in Turkish culture, in addition to there studies translation from different language is given importance for development. Especially, the horses illnesses and treatments of illnesses are important on veterinary works. The medicine which is used the horses illnesses and theatmens of illnesses and the plants which are used for preporing the medicine are extrimely important. This work we worked (Tuhfetü’l Mülûk ve’s-selâtin) is called “baytarnâme”. This work is created by the translation of Emir Hacip ?Âşı? T?mur’s “Umdetü’l-müluk” which is translated into Turkey Turkish by Sultan I. Ahmet’s order. The translation of the work is unknown. No other pages could be indetified in the medical books in the Topkapı Palace library(1772-H.415). This book is organised in there sections: veterinary, horse riding and hunting. These parts are classified within themselves and the related titles are detailed. What makes the book different from other Works is that it is supported with various miniatures. There are 164 Ottoman miniatures in the book. For this reason the book examplities the use of miniature art in the Ottoman period, and it has an important place to transfer the miniatures of the period to our day.
