Abstract:

Introduction and Purpose: In long-term nutrition patients, the enteral path is more advantageous than the parenteral path. Percutan endoscopic gastrostomy is a more advantageous enteral diet than other gastrostomy methods. This is the second part of the East Turkey. We intended to discuss patients infected with percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy in a state hospital along with literary data. Instruments and Methods: In the State Hospital endoscopy unit between January 2017 and December 2019, the data of 30 patients infected in the percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy tube were examined retrospectively. The findings: 32 patients aged between 18 and 95 were taken to the study and the average age of patients was 68 years. Patients were advised for an anesthesia intensive care, neurological service, palliative care unit, general intensive care, intrusive service, percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy from the breast disease unit. Indications of patients infected with percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy decreased respectively; cerebrovascular occurrence, hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy, Alzheimer, Parkinson, dementia, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, ozofagus cancer, subacute sclerosis panensephalitis, aspiration pneumonia, myocardial infarction, brain surgery after surgery, the result of an electrical collision was non-oral (quadripley) patients. No major complications were observed in our patients after the treatment. The rate of minor complications was 7/30 (23%).
