Abstract:

Cahit Zarifoğlu's fairy tales show the impact on the language skills of the Turkish teacher candidates and aimed at developing the language skills of the teacher candidates in this study used the experimental pattern of the pre-test test control group, before the study both groups were applied as the pre-test scale of the language skills rating. Thro the course of four weeks, the experimental group was taught the stories of Cahit Zarifoğlu ("Serçekuş", "Ağaçkakanlar", "Katıraslan", "Heart with Padişah", "Little Şehzade", "Motorlu Bird", "Language of Birds") and then the teachers were taught the stories, discussions and presentations on the stories they read. The control group did not read the stories of Cahit Zarifoğlu and no application was made. After the application, the scale of speaking skills to both groups was applied as the last test. In the study using the SPSS package program, the data was analyzed by t-test for independent samples. The study found that Cahit Zarifoğlu's stories in the study group had significantly developed the speech skills of students in the control group compared to students in the control group. As speaking skills are the basic language skills that a person uses in expressing himself, teachers also use the most speaking skills while expressing themselves in classes and within the society, it is important that the speaking skills of the Turkish teacher candidates are developed through the stories of Cahit Zarifoğlu. As the problems of the Turkish teacher candidates during the acquisition of their basic language skills will reduce the acceptability of the profession, it is necessary to initially solve the problems in this field, to carry out activities in order to complete the deficiencies in various ways.
