Abstract:

This research aims to study the differences between the teaching candidates studying in the first and fourth classes of the university in terms of supernova awareness and epistemological beliefs. It is also studied the differences in epistemological beliefs and the level of supernova consciousness according to sections. The study used the Personal Information Form, the Underconscious Awareness Reserve, the Epistemological Faith Scale. The research study group consists of 476 university students, selected from seven different departments of the educational faculty studying at a state university in the Mediterranean region in the 2015-2016 educational year (Fen Information, Primary Mathematics, Pre-School, Class, English, Primary Turkish Teaching and Guidance and Psychological Consultancy). For the analysis of the data, Mann Whitney U and Kruskall Wallis tests were used. According to the research results, there is no significant difference between students studying in the first and fourth classes of the university in terms of the information dimension of the inter-informational awareness scale, while there is a significant difference in terms of the information dimension. The level of cognitive regulation of fourth-class students is significantly higher than the level of first-class students. There is no meaningful differentiation between university first and fourth-class students in terms of rapid learning, accurate knowledge, simple knowledge and solid skills. There is no significant difference in terms of the sub-dimensions of the organization of the information of the interdisciplinary awareness, while there is a significant difference in terms of the sub-dimensions of the information and the sub-dimensions of the epistemological belief.
