Abstract:

The survey model was used in this study, in which the creative personality traits of gifted students attending the Science and Art Center were examined according to some variables. The population of the research is the gifted students studying at the Science and Art Center, and the sample of the research consists of one hundred and fifty high school students selected according to the convenience sampling method among the gifted students (in the fields of general talent, music, and painting) who attend the Science and Art Centers in Bursa in the 2021-2022 academic year. The data of the study were collected using the personal information form and the Creative Personality Traits Scale. Non-parametric tests, Mann Whitney U, and Kruskal Wallis statistical test techniques were used in data analysis since Creative Personality Traits Scale scores did not show normal distribution. When the research findings were examined, it was determined that there was no significant difference between the creative personality traits scores of the gifted students according to gender, school type, grade level, and the skill area they studied at the Science and Art Center. Based on the results of the research, in-service trainings can be organized for teachers on educational content and teaching environment arrangements that will support the creative personality traits of gifted students. In order to support students in their home environment, information activities can be organized for families.
