Selçuk Üniversitesi, Edebiyat Fakültesi, Urdu Dili ve Edebiyatı Bölümü öğretim üyesi Doç. Dr. Hakan Kuyumcu’nun Pakistan Tarihi (1857-1958) adlı eseri, temeli Türkiye Cumhuriyeti’nin kuruluşuna kadar giden ve çok sağlam ikili ilişkilere dayanan Türk-Pakistan dostluğuna önemli bir katkı olarak dikkat çekmektedir. Ülkemizde Pakistan halkına duyulan sempatiye rağmen Pakistan tarihine dair hazırlanmış çalışmaların kısıtlı olduğu da dikkate alındığında Hakan Kuyumcu’nun eseri bir derece daha önemli hâle gelmektedir.

Selçuk University, Faculty of Literature, Department of Urdu Language and Literature docent Doç. Dr. Hakan Kuyumcu’s work “Pakistan History” (1857-1958) draws attention as a significant contribution to the Turkish-Pakistan friendship, which was the basis for the establishment of the Republic of Turkey and is based on very strong bilateral relations. Despite the sympathy heard to the people of Pakistan in our country, considering that the work prepared on the history of Pakistan is limited, the work of Hakan Kuyumcu becomes a degree more important.
