Abstract:

Material and Methods: 60 non-carious extracted human third molar were used in this study. After the teeth were sectioned parallel to the occlusal surface to expose superficial dentin, specimens were randomly divided into six groups (n=10) to apply different liner or base materials. The groups were set that Group 1: Control, Group 2: Chemical calcium hydroxide, Group 3: Light cured calcium hydroxide, Group 4: Conventi- onal glass ionomer cement, Group 5: Encapsulated glass ionomer cement, Group 6: Resin modified calcium silicate. Liner or base materials were placed on dentin surface according to manufacturer’s instructions. Then adhesive system (Clearfil SE Bond, Kuraray Medical Inc., Osaka, Japan) and composite resin (Tetric-N-Ceram, Ivoclar Vivadent AG, Schaan, Liechtenstein) were applied on materials and dentin. The prepared specimen were placed in a universal testing machine for shear bond strength test. Then, shear bond strength test was performed at a crosshead speed of 1.0 mm/min. Data were analyzed by using One-Way Variance analysis (ANOVA) and Tukey HSD tests. The level of statistical significance was accepted p=0.05. Results: While the control group showed higher bond strength, encapsulated glass ionomer cement group showed lower bond strength than the other groups. When comparing the mean shear bond strength, there are statistically significant differences between group 1 and group 4., 5., 6. also between group 2 and group 5 (p<0.05). Moreover, there are no statistically significant differences between 3. groups and the other groups (p<0.05). Conclusion: According to the results of this study, liner and base materials may affect  the bond strength of composite resin to dentin. Keywords: Dental adhesives, calcium silicate, composite resin

The impact of the composite resin of the various ASTAR and KAIDE materials on the resistance of the texture bonding
2016

Abstract:

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of the different axis and kaide materials on the binding resistance of the composite resin to the dent. Tool and Method: In this study, 60 unclean humans 3 molar females were used. To reveal the surface dentine, the teeth were cut parallelly to the occulus surface, and the samples were divided into randomly 6 groups (n=10) to apply the different ashtar and kaide material-rini. Group 1: Control, Group 2: Chemical Heated Calcium Hydroxide, Group 3: Light Heated Calcium Hydroxide, Group 4: Traditional Glass Ionomer Siman, Group 5: Capsule Glass Ionomer Siman, Group 6: Resin Modified Calcium Silicate. Kaide or astar materials were placed according to the surface of the dentin according to the manufacturer's company's instructions. The adhesive system (Clearfil SE Bond, Kuraray Medical Inc., Osaka, Japan) and composite resin (Tetric-N-Ceram, Ivoclar Vivadent AG, Schaan, Lihtenştayn) were then applied on the materials and dentine. The prepared samples were placed in the universal test machine for the scratch connectivity resistance test. It was tested at 1 mm/min head speed. The data was evaluated using one-way variance analysis (ANOVA) and Tukey HSD tests. The statistical significance level is p=0.05. Results: Connectivity resistanceHigh-control group, while capsule glass ionomer group is found low compared to other groups. When compared with the combination of 1. Groups 4, 5 and 6. The group, 2. With the group 5. The differences between the groups were found statistically meaningful (p<0.05). Also 3. The differences between the group and the other groups were statistically meaningless (p >0.05). The result: According to the results of this study, the ascar and kaide materials may affect the binding resistance of the composite resin to the dent.
