In this study, it is aimed to conduct a research for examining the servant leadership characteristics of hospital administrators in Turkey and to perform the reliability and validity analysis of a scale. For his purpose, in the study, Servant Leadership Scale (SLS), developed by Van Dierendonck ve Nuijten was translated into Turkish in a way to be used in health institutions, and to make validity and reliability analyses. The original scale is composed of 30 items and 8 dimensions. This study was performed among voluntary participated health staff working in first level hospitals located in Şanlıurfa city. A descriptive and cross-sectional research design has been followed. The questionnaire survey was performed through face to face interviews with the participants. As a result of the research, totally 220 (nurses and health staff) questionnaires were collected. For the examination of reliability and validity of the scale, Exploratory Factor Analysis and Confirmatory Factor Analysis were applied. It was observed that the results of the factor structure of the scale supported theory and previous literature. Consequently, it was revealed that the Turkish version of Servant Leadership Questionnaire could be applied in health organizations and it is a reliable and valid research instrument that could be utilized in Turkish culture.
