The aim of this research work was to investigate discipline wise comparison in emotional social intelligence of university teachers with objectives to examine emotional social intelligence of university teachers, find discipline related differences in emotional social intelligence of teachers. Mixed methods approach was adopted for this study. Teaching faculty and learners of Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were the targeted population of this research work. 60 teachers and 200 students were taken through simple random and judgmental sampling techniques. Data were collected from the respondents through Questionnaires and interview. The collected data were then analyzed through descriptive and inferential statistics. It was concluded that Natural Sciences teachers were better in Emotional Social intelligence (ESI) than social sciences teachers. It is recommended that teachers may be provided trainings, workshops and awareness seminars on emotional social intelligence to enhance the effectiveness of their emotional and social intelligence levels in instruction for the betterment of students in classroom.
