Kullanıldıkları yerde anlamı kuvvetlendiren, söze güç katan, anlatımı berraklaştıran, yanlış anlaşılmaları ortadan kaldıran, daha sağlıklı bir iletişim kurmamıza yardımcı olan edatlara pekiştirme edatları denilmektedir. Pekiştirme görevinde kullanılan edatlar kullanıldıkları yerde anlamı güçlendirirler. Pekiştirme edatlarıyle anlama özel bir incelik, nüans verilmiş olur. Bu anlatım tarzı daha çok kullanılışta ortaya çıkar ve belirginlik kazanır. Yazılı metinlerimizden itibaren Türkçede kullanılan tüm pekiştirme edatları incelenmeye çalışıldı. Çalışmada, edatların pekiştirme görevi üzerinde duruldu. Çalışmamızın giriş bölümünde edat terimi, edatların sınıflandırılması, edatın tanımları, edatların özellikleri, edatların yapıları, pekiştirme ve pekiştirme edatları konusuyla ilgili genel bilgiler verilmiştir. İnceleme bölümünde “Türkçede Pekiştirme Edatları” başlığı altında Tarihi yazı dilinde ve Türk lehçelerinde kullanılan Pekiştirme edatları incelenmiştir. Pekiştirme edatlarının, kökeni, kullanıldığı yerler ve fonksiyonları anlatılarak verilmiştir. Çalışmamızda tespit edilen pekiştirme edatları tablo halinde verildi. İlk tabloda pekiştrme edatlarının lehçelere göre dağılımı verilmiştir. Edatlar alfabetik sıraya göre tabloda gösterildi. Böylece hangi lehçelerde edatın kullanıldığı tablo üzerinde daha iyi görülecektir. İkinci tabloda pekiştirme edatlarının kökeni ve kullanım yerleri verildi. Tabloda toplam 80 pekiştirme edatının lehçelere göre dağılımı verildi. Bu çalışmada Türkçede kullanılan edatların sadece pekiştirme işlevi üzerinde durulmuştur. Şüphesiz bu edatlar, değişik cümlelerde daha başka görevlerde de kullanılmaktadır. Pekiştirme edatlarının görevleri kullanım sırasında ortaya çıkar. Pekiştirme edatlarının çoğu cümle sonuna gelerek anlamı pekiştirmektedir.
