Koumiss is consumed as a national beverage from the old Turkish societies until today, is also used in literature with names such as “koumiss” and “kumys”. It was used in the time of the Scythians, koumiss are known to be the first Turkish society, BC. IX. It was recorded by Homer, koumiss lived in the 19th century. Koumiss is made from the milk of the female horse, that is, the mare. Koumiss’s is a troublesome beverage to make. Whom made of leather, obtained by mixing for hours in the overalls, can be preserved for a long time. The Turks regarded us as sacred, they shared their epics, poems and riddles, and organized their holidays. In addition, it is very beneficial for health thanks to the vitamins A, E, C, and B12 it contains. The famous medical scientist İbn-i Sina reported in her work that koumiss is used to treat diseases. European and Russian orientalists wanted to investigate the reason for the courage and vigor of Turks, a warrior community, and concluded that our research can be used in the treatment of lung diseases, vascular diseases, intestinal and stomach diseases. After the Turks accepted Islam, the fermented products were suspiciously treated due to the fact that they produced alcohol during the formation of the cult, and it was observed that the Muslim Turks were no longer consumed. In Islam, it is forbidden to consume a product containing alcohol. The Turks are among the traditions and religions of the ancestors that they love and consume.
