Müzik eğitimi, toplumdaki bireylerin sağlıklı, kişilikli, becerikli, üretken, uyumlu, evrensel değerleri anlayabilen, estetik görüp düşünebilen bireyler yetiştirmek için gerçekleştirilen düşünce ve davranış eğitimidir. Milyonlarca öğrencinin ilköğretim kademesi olan ilkokula adımlarını atmaları ile müzik eğitimi hayatlarına girmektedir. Araştırma, sınıf öğretmeni adaylarının hizmetöncesi eğitimde müzik becerileri hakkındaki görüşlerini betimlemeye çalışmak, belirlenen erişilerle teori ve pratik arasındaki ilişkiyi kurmaktır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre; adayların %96,0’ı müzik dersinin etkili bir şekilde işlendiğini, %88’i öğretmen olduğunda müzik dersini etkili bir şekilde işleyeceğini, %92,0 si ise gördüğü müzik dersinin alanının destekler nitelikte olduğunu düşünmektedir. Yine adayların %52,0’ı müzik dersinin süresinin yetersiz olduğunu ve %24’ü dersin teori ve uygulama dengesi olmadığını düşünmektedir. Bunun haricinde adayların %76’sı çocuk müziklerini öğretebileceğini düşünmekte, %68’i müzik bilgi ve becerilerini arttırmak istemekte, %64’ü ise ulusal bilinci arttırmaya yönelik şarkı dağarcıkları olduğunu belirtmişlerdir. Nitel verilerden elde edilen sonuçlara göre, adayları müzik dersini sadece bir eğlence dersi olarak görmedikleri, müziğin öğrencinin etkili ve kalıcı bir şekilde öğrenmesinde kullanılabilecek önemli bir öğretim aracı olduğunu düşünmektedirler
Music education is a thought and behavior education that is carried out to educate individuals in society who are healthy, personal, skilled, productive, harmonious, able to understand universal values, able to see and think aesthetically. Millions of students are taking their steps to the primary school, which is a primary degree, and music education is entering their lives. The research is to try to describe the opinions of class teacher candidates on music skills in pre-service training, establishing the relationship between defined approaches and theory and practice. According to the study, 96,0% of candidates believe that the music class is effectively processed, 88% believe that the music class is effectively processed when they are teachers, and 92,0% believe that the field of the music class they see is supporting. Again, 52,0% of candidates believe the time of the music course is insufficient and 24% believe that the course is not the theory and practice balance. In addition, 76% of the candidates think they can teach children music, 68% say they want to improve their music knowledge and skills, and 64% say they are singers aimed at raising national awareness. According to the results obtained from the qualification data, candidates believe that they don’t see the music class as just a entertainment class, but that music is an important teaching tool that can be used in the student’s effective and lasting learning.
