The aim of this study is to define primary school teachers’ views of the practices in cursive italic writing. In order to achieve this goal descriptive survey model was used within the framework of the research questions directed to the teachers. This research’s participant group consists of 52 teachers working in public primary schools in Serinhisar in Denizli. A data collection tool that includes ten questions was used in the research. The average and standard deviations were given a place in the analysis of data; Mann Whitney U Test were used in the section where primary school teachers’ views of the practices in cursive italic writing were tried to define in relation to the gender and seniority. According to the conclusions derived from the study; primary school teachers think that students generally have problems in practices in cursive italic writing. While there is no significant difference in teachers’ views of cursive italic writing in terms of gender, it is understood that there is a significant difference between senior and junior teachers’ views of cursive italic writing according to their seniority. Teachers who worked 15 years and more in the profession are of the opinion, in comparison to the young teachers, that students experience less problems in cursive italic writing issue.
