Abstract:

The aim of this study is to examine the cookery mastery compensation program, which was put into practice by the Ministry of National Education in September 2021, and to develop suggestions for the improvement of the program. In this context, qualitative research method was used. The study group formed by the purposeful sampling method from the universe formed by the participants of the mastery compensation program are the stakeholders of the training program. For this purpose, semi-structured interviews were conducted with a group of six students, five operators and seven educators. The data obtained from the participants by the interview technique were subjected to content analysis. As a result of the data obtained, five themes related to the culinary mastery compensation program were created: educational, financial, certification, managerial and legislative. Although the program attracts attention from the stakeholders, it is the general result of the study that its negative aspects are continued by arranging.
