Abstract:

The current social and physical environment affects the physical, mental, and social development of individuals in early childhood. In other words, the environment does not allow the uninterrupted game, does not respond sufficiently to the impulse to move, curiosity and discovery emotions, perception development, restricts them, isolates them from nature and other people. For healthy development, it is necessary to organize the outdoor playgrounds in the housing nearby area in accordance with the development characteristics of the pre-school childhood period and the asset requirements. The study revealed how the current environment affects healthy development in pre-school childhood; recommendations were developed on how urban planning and landscape architecture disciplines can provide the necessary conditions to support healthy development in outdoor design. Recommendations are related to the outdoor design that enables the game without interruption and contains natural items.
