Abstract:

In the developing provinces of our country, due to the increase in population, the number of vehicles and traffic intensities are increasing every day. This situation is considered socio-economic development but has negative ecological impacts on the environment (ground-water-air). Highways are one of the important and necessary engineering structures made in cities. They have an effective position in socio-economic and other areas by connecting cities to each other. Today, increasing highway transportation, rapid urbanization and increasing number of vehicles have made heavy metal pollution caused by traffic an important issue. Large contamination of the soil with heavy metals is due to the proximity of the highways. Due to the difficulty of removing heavy metals that reach the soil from the soil, soil pollution is a major environmental problem. In this study, studies on the state of pollution of the soil on the edges of the highway have been studied, the sources and distribution of pollutants.
