As a result of the national struggle led by Mustafa Kemal, the Turkısh nation gained indepence and the foundations of the new Turkısh state were laid. In the following process, changes in the understanding of government were experienced and the new form of goverment was determined as a republic. Despite some diffucultes in the transition to the republican administration the uncompromising revolutionary spirit from the understanding of the Turkısh Grand National Asembly elected the first president of the new Turkish state Mustafa Kemal. As a result of the interim elections held in Ankara, Arif Baytın was elected to Ankara deputy which was vacated from Atatürk. Thus the parliamentary election process has been successful.
