Bu çalışma kent-üniversite etkileşiminin önemli aktörlerinden biri olan üniversite öğrencilerinin öğrenim gördükleri kent ve yöre paydaşları algısını ortaya koymayı amaçlamaktadır. Çalışmada bu kapsamda Tokat kent merkezinde öğrenim gören 956 öğrenciye anket çalışması uygulanmıştır. Öğrencilerin öğrenim gördükleri kente yönelik izlenimleri, yöre halkı, yöre esnafı, ev sahipleri, komşuları ile ilgili genel algılarını tespit etmek amacıyla analizler yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın bulgularına göre üniversite öğrencilerinde yöre ve yöre halkı algısı, ulaşım algısı, ev sahibi ve komşulara ilişkin izlenimlerinde olumsuzluğun hâkim olduğu, öğrencilerle ilgili konularda yöredeki paydaşlarının yardımcı olma konusunda istekli olmadığı görüşünde oldukları görülmektedir. Sosyo-kültürel imkanlar bakımından yeterli olarak görmedikleri bu kentte yaşamaktan memnun olma düzeyinin de yüksek olmadığı görülmüştür. Çalışmada yöre ve yöre halkı algısı, ulaşım algısı, ev sahibi ve komşu algılarının değişkenlere göre de farklılıklar gösterdiği tespit edilmiştir. Araştırmanın sonuç kısmında kent-üniversite etkileşiminde üniversite öğrencileri tarafından sorunlu olarak tanımlanan konularla ve beklentilerle ilgili çözüm önerileri ortaya konmuştur.
This study aims to reveal the perception of the city and local stakeholders that university students, which are one of the important actors of the city-university interaction, are studying. In this study, 956 students who studied in the Tokat city center were surveyed. Students were analysed in order to identify the impressions of the city they studied, local people, local business, hosts, neighbors, their general perceptions. According to the findings of the study, university students find that the perception of local and local people, the perception of transportation, the negative impression of the host and neighbors, and that they are not willing to help the stakeholders in the area in matters related to students. The level of satisfaction of living in this city that they do not see sufficiently in terms of socio-cultural possibilities has not been high. The study found that local and local people's perception, transport perception, host and neighbor's perception also showed differences according to the variables. In the result section of the study, there are suggestions for solutions related to topics and expectations defined as problematic by university students in the city-university interaction.
This study aims to reveal the perceptions of university students, who are one of the important actors of city-university interaction, of the community of the city and the region where they study. In this context, a surway study was applied to 956 students studying in Tokat city center. Analyzes were carried out in order to determine students' feelings of the city that they receive education in, their general senses about local people, local tradesmen, house owners, and their neighbors. According to the findings of the study, negativity is predominant in university students' senses of the region and local people, transportation and the host and neighbors. It is observed that university students are of the opinion that local stakeholders are not willing to help with student-related issues. In the study, it was determined that the perception of the region and the local people, the perception of transportation, the perception of the home owner and the neighbor differ according to the variables. As a result of the research, suggestions were offered for the matters and expectations identified as problematic by university students in the city-university interaction.
